FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY EVALUATIONS
The ACADIA Functional Capacity Evaluation (F.C.E.) is a multifaceted assessment designed to determine the extent of an individual's physical ability to perform specific tasks. The F.C.E. identifies the individual's readiness to return to work or sport as well as the individual's readiness to participate in a work hardening program; his/her need for job modifications or for vocational retraining. The Functional Capacity Evaluation is performed by our Physical Therapist and consists of the following modular system of testing:

a. Musculoskeletal Evaluation

b. Static Strength Testing

c. Maximum Effort Dynamic Testing

d. Fatigue Testing

e. Cumulative Trauma Testing

f. Physical Demand Level Testing

g. Endurance Projections

h. Fitness Testing

I. Non-Material Handling Activities

j. Hand Testing

k. Ergonomic Evaluations

Upon completion of the evaluation, a concise written report is presented which includes results of all tests performed, validity of tests and objective measurements of the individual's maximal physical abilities.
