TRANSDISCIPLINARY ASSESSMENTS
The ACADIA treatment team, consisting of case managers, cognitive specialists, speech and language pathologist, physical therapist, occupational therapist and COTA, neuropsychologist, and physiatrist, provides comprehensive assessments of current status and treatment needs for individuals with brain injury. These assessments are generally scheduled through our Intake Coordinator, and generally are completed within a one-day assessment format. A more comprehensive neuropsychological assessment is occasionally necessary to evaluate current status of learning and memory, attention, “executive” functioning, language processing and visual-spatial skills. More extended assessments involving assessment of daily living skills may include a brief residential stay.
